SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Chris Quinn
produced 17 points Friday night as No. 21 Notre Dame
overcame a poor shooting performance to defeat Charleston Southern, 54-38.
The Fighting Irish (3-0) made only 38 percent of their field-goal attempts and did not pull away from the Buccaneers until late.
Chris Thomas added 15 points and six assists.
Charleston Southern, which fell to 1-2, was led by 10 points and 11 rebounds by Kirtis Rice.
Notre Dame trailed by two early in the second period before going on a 19-2 run that gave the Irish control.
