STARKVILLE, Miss., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Winsome Frazier scored 30 points Tuesday night to lead 20th-ranked Mississippi State to an 82-64 victory over Missouri-KC.

Marcus Campbell added 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting for the Bulldogs (5-1).

Mike English had 11 points for the Kangaroos (0-1), who fell to 4-14 in season openers.

Mississippi State had a 27-11 spurt to overcome an early five-point deficit. UMKC got within 38-30 at halftime and cut its deficit to 38-32 early in the second half on a layup by English.

Shane Power and Campbell each scored four points during a 13-5 run early in the second half that put Mississippi State ahead 51-37.
