CHICAGO, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Luke Schenscher hit two free throws with 30 seconds remaining Monday to give fourth-ranked Georgia Tech a 60-59 victory over Illinois-Chicago.
B.J. Elder was leading scorer with 17 points for the Yellow Jackets (2-0), who overcame a six-point deficit early in the second half.

Cedrick Banks scored 23 points for the Flames (0-1), who had their 15-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents snapped.
Georgia Tech had a 20-6 run to go ahead 45-37 less than seven minutes into the second half but Illinois-Chicago rallied to force a 56-56 tie with 3:40 remaining.
