COL FB: Louisville 65, Houston 27

HOUSTON, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Stefan LeFors threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns and Eric Shelton ran for three more TDs Saturday as No. 11 Louisville beat Houston, 65-27.

The Cardinals (8-1, 6-0 C-USA) won for the fourth straight time and remained in the driver's seat for a Liberty Bowl berth. Joshua Tinch had 148 yards and a touchdown on five catches, while Adam McCauley caught two TD passes.

Kevin Kolb had 375 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns for the losing Cougars (3-8, 3-5). Vincent Marshall caught eight passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.

Louisville scored on its first three possessions to build a 21-7 lead after one quarter.
