Injury ends season for Joe Harris

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- The Carolina Panthers Friday placed rookie running back Joey Harris on the injured reserve list, ending his 2004 season.

Harris suffered a hamstring injury in practice Nov. 12 shortly after being signed off the team's practice squad. He was inactive last week for the the Carolina-San Francisco game after aggravating the injury in practice.

Harris, an undrafted free agent out of Purdue this year, had 53 yards on 15 carries in four games.

He is the third member of the injury-riddled Panthers backfield placed on IR, joining Stephen Davis and DeShawn Foster.
