Bates says Feeley to start against Seattle

DAVIE, Fla., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A.J. Feeley will start at quarterback in Miami's next game, Jim Bates, the Dolphins' interim coach, said Monday.

Feeley will take over for Jay Fiedler.

"It's time for A.J. to get an opportunity and see what he can do," said Bates, who took over coaching duties after Dave Wannstedt resigned last week.

Feeley did have two starts this season but was returned to a backup role behind Fiedler.

The Dolphins, 1-8, play at Seattle Sunday.

Feeley has completed 62 of 114 passes for 658 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted six times.
