SEATTLE, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Seattle Seahawks cornerback Ken Lucas suffered a bruised lung Sunday while playing in San Francisco.

Team docor Brad Shoup said Monday that Lucas did not suffer a serious injury.

Lucas landed hard on his chest early in the second quarter diving for a ball thrown by 49ers quarterback Tim Rattay. He spent the night in a San Francisco hospital.

Going into Sunday's game, Lucas was tied for the NFL interceptions lead with four.

"The problem won't be in Ken coming back to play and taking hits," said Coach Mike Holmgren. "It's his ability to breath and do cardiovascular activities."
