CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Mike Imoh ran for 236 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as 18th-ranked Virginia Tech topped North Carolina 27-24.

The victory made the Hokies bowl-eligible for the 12th straight season. They remained in the chase for the Atlantic Coast title.

Virginia Tech now is 7-2, 4-1 ACC.

Chad Scott rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown for North Carolina (4-5, 3-3 ACC). Connor Barth, who kicked a game-winning field goal in last week's upset of Miami, missed a 54-yard try in the last minute that would have tied the contest.
