Warrick out for the season

CINCINNATI, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Bengals placed receiver Warrick on injured reserve Friday, thus ending his season.

Warrick suffered a fractured fibula in the Bengals' opening game of the season. He played the next week, but left early in a Week 3 contest against Baltimore.

"Peter is very disappointed at not being able to perform, but his injury has not healed in a way that he could play productively," Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis said.

"Our doctors all agree that the best course for Peter is to have a surgery that will allow him to fully recover in plenty of time for 2005."
