Weekly NFL honorees named

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green and Kansas City guard Brian Waters were among players earning NFL Player of the Week honors Wednesday.

Green was named on offense in the NFC along with Detroit tackle Shaun Rogers on defense and Arizona Cardinals placekicker Neil Rackers for special teams.

Their AFC counterparts were Waters, cornerback Deion Sanders of Baltimore and placekicker Josh Scobee of Jacksonville.

Green, who earned his fifth career weekly honor, rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries as the Packers dumped Dallas 41-20.

Waters, the first AFC offensive lineman to win the award, was cited for his play in the Chiefs' 56-10 rout of Atlanta.

Sanders had two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, and recorded two tackles in the Ravens' 20-6 win over Buffalo.

Scobee kicked four field goals in four attempts, including a 53-yarder with 38 seconds to play, in the Jaguars' 24-21 victory over Indianapolis.

Rogers had four tackles and one sack in the Lions' 28-13 win over the New York Giants.
