NBA suspends four players

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The National Basketball Association announced Wednesday that four players had been suspended for fighting during an exhibition game.

The incident took place Monday night in a contest between Washington and Chicago.

Washington center Brendan Haywood received a three-game suspension and both Antonio Davis and Eddy Curry of Chicago will be out for two games.

Washington's Larry Hughes was suspended for one game and Chicago Kirk Hinrich was fined $10,000.

The suspensions will begin at the start of the regular season next week.
