Indiana's Foster out after hip surgery

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Jeff Foster of the Indiana Pacers undergoes surgery Wednesday on his hip and could be outof action for as much as six weeks.

Foster was injured prior to the start of the Pacers' training camp but didn't let him affect his play until it flared up this week.

Foster averaged 6.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in his first year as a starter last season.
