
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Matt Leinart threw for two touchdowns and LenDale White ran for two more Saturday as No. 1 Southern California defeated Washington, 38-0.
Leinart threw for 217 yards for the Trojans (7-0, 4-0 Pac-10), who have won 16 in a row and are off to their best start since going 10-0 to start the 1988 season.
Isaiah Stanback completed only three of 16 passes for 27 yards for the Huskies (1-6, 0-4), who had only 113 yards total offense and were shut out for the first time in 272 games.
White had with 93 yards on 17 carries.
The Trojans held a 10-point lead at halftime.
The Huskies did not pick up a first down in the second half until Casey Paus, who replaced Stanback, connected with Bobby Whithorne on an 11-yard pass play with about 10 minutes left in the fourth.
