SAO PAULO, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Brazilian Rubens Barrichello, driving a Ferrari, won the pole Satuday for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Starting alongside Barrichello will be Juan Montoya of Columbia who turned in a time of 1:10.850. McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen (1:10.892) and Felipe Massa (1:10.922) will start in row two.

Michael Schumacher, the 2004 F1 champion, qualified eighth quickest, but will start 18th on the grid due to a final practice crash which forced Ferrari to change engines.

The German lost control on the entry to a turn and slammed backwards into a barrier. The car caught fire after the impact, but he climbed out unhurt after officials put out the fire.
