NFL: Minnesota 38, New Orleans 31

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Daunte Culpepper passed for 425 yards and five touchdowns Sunday night to lead the Minnesota Vikings to a 38-31 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Culpepper completed 26 of 37 passes with twp interceptions. This was the third time this season that he has thrown five TD passes in a game -- an NFL record.

Jermaine Wiggins and Marcus Robinson each caught a pair of TD passes for the Vikings (4-1). Mewelde Moore rushed for 109 yards and Nate Burleson caught six passes for 134 yards.

Minnesota's Randy Moss caught two passes for 89 yards and a touchdown before a hamstring injury with five minutes remaining in the second quarter. He returned for the next series, then sat out the remainder of the game.

New Orleans quarterback Aaron Brooks was 22-of-38 for 249 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He ran for a score.

Deuce McAllister scored two touchdowns for the Saints (2-4).
