Titans' wide receiver to have knee surgery

NASHVILLE, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyrone Calico is have knee surgery Thursday.

Calico had three opinions before deciding on the surgery. He will have torn cartilage repaired and may also need to have his ACL fixed.

Doctors said Tuesday that if he doesn't have the ACL surgery he could miss 10 weeks of action but with the ACL surgery, he would be expected to be out the rest of the year.

Calico is a two-year veteran out of Middle Tennessee State. He has played in only one game this season. He missed the first three games with a knee injury and suffered his latest ailment last week in San Diego.
