IRVING, Texas, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Rookie Dallas defensive back Bruce Thornton will miss the remainder of the season because of a knee injury.
Thornton, a fourth-round pick out of Georgia, hurt his right knee in a 26-10 loss to the New York Giants Sunday. He was making his NFL debut.

The Cowboys' defense has been hit hard by injuries. Cornerback Pete Hunter is also out for the season with a knee injury.
