NEW YORK, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The NFL Wednesday announced its Players of the Week for games in the fourth week of the 2004 season.

New York Giants running back Tiki Barber, safety Adrian Wilson of the Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles placekicker David Akers were named Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams POWs in the NFC, while their AFC counterparts were Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes, New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi and placekicker Jason Elam of the Denver Broncos.

Barber, the league's leading rusher, gained 182 yards on 23 carries in last Sunday's 14-7 win at Green Bay, and Holmes, who is second to Barber, gained 125 yards on 33 carries Monday night in the Chiefs' 27-24 win at Baltimore.

Akers kicked four field goals in the Eagles' 19-9 win at Chicago, earning his sixth career NFC honor.
