
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Tom Brady threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns Sunday as as New England tied an NFL record with its 18th straight win, 31-17 over Buffalo.
Brady completed 17-of-30 passes, while Corey Dillon ran for 79 yards and a touchdown for the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots.
David Patten had five catches for 113 yards, including a 30-yard TD from Brady in the second quarter. David Givens finished with 86 yards on four receptions for New England (3-0).
Drew Bledsoe had 247 yards passing on 18-of-30 attempts, along with one touchdown and one interception, for the Bills (0-3). Eric Moulds had 10 catches for 126 yards and a score, while rookie Lee Evans had 93 receiving yards.
With the teams deadlocked at 17-17, Brady led New England on a 12-play, 80-yard drive capped by a two-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Graham with 11:17 remaining.
