MLS: Los Angeles 1, Kansas City 1

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A late own goal by Los Angeles defender Sasha Victorine gave the Kansas City Wizards a 1-1 tie with the Galaxy Saturday night.

The tie was good enough for Los Angeles to gain a spot in the MLS Cup playoffs.

Tyron Marshall put the Galaxy ahead 1-0 in the 65th minute.

But as the match neared an end, a pass was inadvertently deflected by Victorine past his own goaltender.
