Dementieva wins title in Belgium

HASSELT, Belgium, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Russian Elena Dementieva rallied Sunday to take a three-set win over Russian Elena Bovina in the final at the inaugural Gaz de France Stars.

Dementieva posted a 0-6, 6-0, 6-4 triumph to claim her first title of the year. She had recorded four runner-up finishes already this season, including losses in both the French Open and U.S. Open finals.
