arlier in the day, Steve Finley's grand slam capped a seven-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning to help Los Angeles win the NL West by defeating San Francisco 7-3.

Chicago, which was also in the playoff picture was officially eliminated from post-season play with a 8-6 setback to Atlanta.

Oswalt (20-10) leads the NL in wins.

The Astros have won six in a row overall and have a franchise-record 17-game home winning streak.
