CHICAGO, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A knee injury has knocked Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman out for the rest of the 2004 season.
Grossman was hurt Sunday while running for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 27-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Tests showed that he tore a ligament in his right knee.
Grossman is expected to undergo surgery soon.
Jonathan Quinn, a seven-year pro signed by Chicago during the off-season, is expected to replace Grossman. Quinn has also played for Jacksonville and Kansas City but has started only three NFL games.
The Bears are 1-2 this season.
