COL FB: Oregon State 14, Arizona State 27

TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Arizona State Sun Devils were victorious Saturday night over the Oregon State Beavers 27-14 in the Pac-10 opener for both clubs in Tempe, Ariz.

Andrew Walter completed 16-of-40 passes for the Sun Devils (4-0, 1-0 Pac 10), and threw for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Randy Hill and Hakim Hill combined to rush for 97 yards and a touchdown. Arizona's starting running back, Loren Wade, was suspended indefinitely from the team before the game for violating team rules.

Derek Anderson went 29-of-53 for 384 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Beavers (1-3, 0-1).

Mike Haas caught 14 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown for Oregon State.
