CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Stefan LeFors completed 13-of-16 passes for 123 yards Saturday to help No. 24 Louisville hammer North Carolina, 34-0.

The Cardinals got three rushing touchdowns from Eric Shelton, who gained 86 yards on 13 carries. Michael Bush added 82 yards on 17 carries.

The non-league victory marked the first time the Cardinals, from Conference USA, started 3-0 in two straight seasons since 1961 and '62.

North Carolina, which upset ACC Rival Georgia Tech 34-13 last week, dropped to 2-2 overall.
