Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
CHICAGO, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- John Buck hit two solo homers Friday night in leading Kansas City to an 8-6 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Matt Stairs also homered for Kansas City while Jimmy Gobble (9-8) worked six-plus innings for the win. He gave up four runs on eight hits.
The White Sox had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Kansas City tied it at 4-4 in the fifth on Calvin Pickering's sacrifice fly and took the lead in the sixth on Buck's second homer.
It was Buck's first career multi-homer game.
