MIAMI, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- The Chicago Cubs won for the seventh time in eight games Monday, beating Florida 5-1 in the first game of a doubleheader.
The win moved Chicago into a tie with San Francisco for the National League wild card lead.

Mark Prior pitched 7 2/3 innings and got his sixth win against four losses. Prior struck out nine.
Corey Patterson hit a two-run double and two singles for the Cubs.
