NFL: N.Y. Giants 20, Washington 14

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- The New York Giants defense forced seven turnovers Sunday in a 20-14 victory over the Washington Redskins.

Kurt Warner was 22-of-33 passing for 232 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions for the Giants (1-1), who had lost seven straight home games.

Patrick Ramsey, subbing for an injured Mark Brunell, was 9-of-18 passing for Washington for 142 yards and one touchdown. He had three passes intercepted.

Clinton Portis, who lost two fumbles, had 69 yards rushing and 29 receiving yards with one touchdown as the Redskins fell to 1-1.
