MLB: Toronto 9, Tampa Bay 7

TORONTO, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Carlos Delgado went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI on Sunday as the Toronto Blue Jays downed the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 9-7.

Guillermo Quiroz added a pair of hits, including a two-run double, while Vernon Wells hit a solo home run for the Blue Jays.

Tino Martinez homered and drove in three runs for the Devil Rays, who have lost four of five. Aubrey Huff was 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

Vinny Chulk (1-3) earned his first major league win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings relief of starter Justin Miller, who lasted just 3 2/3 frames. Justin Speier threw a perfect ninth for his seventh save.

The Blue Jays trailed 5-3 before erupting for five runs in the bottom of the third and knocking Devil Rays rookie Scott Kazmir from the game.
