COL FB: Iowa 7, Arizona State 44

TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- The Arizona State Sun Devils pounded the No. 12 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes 44-7 in a non-conference matchup at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., Saturday.

Andrew Walter passed for 428 yards and had five touchdowns for the Sun Devils (3-0), while Derek Hagan ended with eight catches for 112 yards and Zach Miller pulled in 10 for 85.

Walner Belleus scored the only touchdown for the Hawkeyes (2-1) -- an 83-yard punt return with 18 seconds left in the game.

Iowa quarterback Drew Tate ended 8-of-19 for 44 yards and an interception and was sacked four times.
