OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Ichiro Suzuki went 2-for-4 Friday to help visiting Seattle beat Oakland 6-3.

And in a five-run seventh inning, Greg Dobbs smacked a pinch-hit, three-run double in the first of a three-game series between the teams.

Mark McLemore hit a solo homer for the Athletics, who have dropped three of their last four contests. Barry Zito was not involved in the outcome for Oakland. He permitted just one run on four hits over six innings.

Oakland leads second-place Anaheim by just one game in the AL West after the Angels defeated Texas Friday night.
