Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
BEIJING, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- American Taylor Dent and Israeli Noam Okun won matches in the China Open Tuesday but all others were rained out.
Dent, the seventh seed, defeated Peter Luczak of Australia and Okun topped Arvind Parmar of Britain, both by scores of 6-3, 6-2.
Other matches in the hardcourt tournament were either suspended or postponed because of rain.
The top seed is Carlos Moya of Spain.
