MLB: Tampa Bay 7, Kansas City 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Jorge Sosa pitched seven shutout innings of five-hit ball Sunday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays posted a 7-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Sosa (4-4) struck out seven with two walks for the Devil Rays, who have won two straight on the heels of a season-long 12-game losing streak. Julio Lugo, Tino Martinez and Jose Cruz Jr. each collected three hits in the win.

Royals starter Denny Bautista ( 0-2) allowed six runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings for the loss.
