MLB: Philadelphia 4, New York Mets 2

NEW YORK, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets 4-2 Sunday to run their winning streak to six.

The Phillies went ahead in the second inning with a couple of runs and ran the lead to 4-0 in the fourth when Tomas Perez doubled home David Bell and Todd Pratt.

Vicente Padilla (6-7) gave up four hits and struck out five in 6 2/3 innings for the win and Tim Worrell picked up his 19th save.

Mets starter Tom Glavine (9-13) was the loser.

The Mets have lost nine straight games a home.
