CHICAGO, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers will likely miss the rest of the season after breaking his clavicle Sunday.
The injury occurred in the first quarter of the team's 20-16 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Rogers, second overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, was also sidelined for the final 11 games of last season with a broken collarbone.
"Same collarbone, different spot," said Lions Coach Steve Mariucci. "It's a shame the clavicle didn't hold up. So we are going to have to medically see what we need to do and see if he can get back here."
Rogers had 22 receptions for 243 yards and three touchdowns in only five games during his rookie campaign. He won the 2002 Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in college football during his junior season at Michigan State.
