Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
DENVER, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Jordan Cila scored the game-winning goal Friday night as Colorado moved into first place in the Western Conference with a 3-1 win over Kansas City.
The winning goal came in the 60th minute. A chipped cross from Chris Henderson fell to Cila, who was open at the left corner of the box. Cila had time to trap the ball and place it into the right corner of the net past the outstretched arms of goalie Bo Oshoniyi.
The Rapids have 39 points, one more than the Wizards.
