McDowell takes lead in German Masters

COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland shot an 8-under-par 64 Friday for a three-stroke lead in the German Masters.

McDowell was at 11-under 133 at the tournament's halfway point.

Raphael Jacquelin of France and Australians Richard Green and Nick O'Hern were tied for second at 136. Alex Cejka of Germany was another shot back.

"The course is yielding a lot of birdies," said McDowell, 25, who won the Italian Open earlier this year.
