MLB: Chicago White Sox 7, Texas 3

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Mark Buehrle threw a three-hitter Thursday night and Joe Crede contributed a three-run homer to give the Chicago White Sox a 7-3 win over Texas.

It was the 13th complete game of Buehrle's career and his third consecutive victory as he improved to 14-8.

Paul Konerko hit a two-run homer for the White Sox, who have won five of their last six.

The White Sox took the lead in the second when Crede hit his three-run blast, his 17th homer of the season. Buehrle retired 15 of the last 16 batters he faced.
