His doctor placed the jockey's wrist in a soft cast and will examine and re-evaluate the injury in two weeks.

Bailey said he will be recuperating for three to four weeks.

Last year, Bailey won his seventh (fourth consecutive) Eclipse Award for Jockey of the Year, broke the North American record for purse earnings won with $23, 354,960 and broke the record for most stakes wins with 70.

Earlier this month, Bailey became Saratoga Race Track's all-time leading rider with a total of 641 victories.
