COL FB: Texas 65, North Texas 0

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Cedric Benson rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead No. 7 Texas to a 65-0 rout of North Texas.

Vince Young completed 14-of-21 passes for 153 yards and a score to go with 49 yards on the ground. Second-string tailback Selvin Young carried 12 times for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win.

Linebacker Derrick Johnson forced three fumbles for the Longhorns (1-0).

Scott Hall was 8-of-17 for just 78 yards for the Mean Green (0-1), who fell to 0-8 all-time against their fellow Lone Star State school.
