MLB: San Francisco 6, Florida 5 (10 inn.)

MIAMI, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Rudy Seanez walked A.J. Pierzynski with the bases loaded to force in the go-ahead run in the 10th as San Francisco edged Florida 6-5 Wednesday night.

Seanez (1-2), in his second inning of work, yielded back-to-back one-out singles before intentionally walking Barry Bonds to load the bases. Seanez then threw four straight balls to force in Ray Durham for the edge.

Deivi Cruz was 3-for-5 and also homered to help San Francisco remain a game behind NL wild card leader Chicago, a 4-2 winner over Milwaukee earlier in the day.

Jim Brower (7-6) tossed two scoreless frames for the win.

Mike Lowell and a red-hot Juan Pierre drove in two runs apiece for the Marlins.
