SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The San Jose Earthquakes scored a 3-0 victory Saturday night over the Dallas Burn at Spartan Stadium.
It took Ramiro Corrales only four minutes to get the early lead before a Cory Gibbs goal accidentally doubled the advantage before the half. Brian Ching made his 11th goal of the season.

Dallas had to make a goalkeeper change in the 12th minute of play when starter Jeff Cassar saved a Ronnie Ekelund's shot from close range with his face and his eye began to swell. Scott Garlick took over for Ekelund.
Goalkeeper Pat Onstad got the shutout for the Earthquakes.
