BUFFALO, N.Y., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Star running back Travis Henry of Buffalo suffered bruised ribs Saturday night during a 16-15 pre-season loss to Tennessee.
Henry was driven into the turf by Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck late in the first half while trying to catch a pass from quarterback Drew Bledsoe and was carted off the field.
"When he hit me and I hit the ground I landed in an awkward way and it put some strain on my ribs but I feel all right," Henry said. "I felt the same type of symptoms that I felt when I hurt it the first time. It was the same exact spot so I knew what it was."
He suffered a similar injury against Miami last season.
Henry is involved in a tense competition with Willis McGahee to be the team's No. 1 running back.
Last year he started 15 games and rushed for 1,356 yards and 10 touchdowns on 331 carries.
