MLS: D.C. United 2, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- The Columbus Crew extended their unbeaten run to nine games Saturday night with 2-2 draw with D.C. United.

Columbus held a 2-1 lead in the second half, but a Frankie Hejduk handball in the 75th minute translated into a penalty kick goal for Jaime Moreno.

The result still extended the Crew's unbeaten streak to nine games, equaling their club record set in 2001.

In the MLS East, Columbus is second on 30 points and D.C. United (25 points) is in sole possession of third following New England's 2-1 loss to Kansas City.
