Boldin has arthroscopic surgery

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday.

Despite the surgery, Boldin could be ready for the opening game of the season.

"We'll be happy when he gets back and we don't anticipate that being very far away," said Coach Dennis Green.

Boldin was injured Tuesday while running a pattern during warm-ups.

During the 2003 season, Boldin caught more passes (101) than any NFL rookie had in eight years.
