MLB: Chicago WhiteSox 9, Kansas City 3

CHICAGO, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Willie Harris had three doubles among his five hits,Tuesday as the Chicago White Six posted a 9-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Jon Garland (8-8), snapping a five-start winless streak, allowed three runs on seven hits in seven innings for the White Sox, who won for the just the second time in their last seven games.

Carlos Lee had a three-run homer and four RBI. Paul Konerko and Joe Crede also homered.

David DeJesus and Abraham Nunez both had two hits for the Royals, who suffered their fifth straight loss.

Jose Valentin and Ben Davis each had two hits for Chicago, which scored four runs in two innings off Zack Greinke to snap a 3-3 tie.

Konerko's two-run shot with two outs in the fifth put White Sox ahead 5-3.

Greinke (4-9), the Royals starter, didn't finish the sixth.
