MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Garrett Anderson had four hits and Jose Guillen three RBI Thursday as the Anaheim Angels clubbed Minnesota, 8-3.

Winning pitcher Aaron Sele stayed undefeated at 7-0 this season. He became the first pitcher in franchise history to win his first seven decisions in a season.

Relievers Brendan Donnelly and Francisco Rodriguez combined for two scoreless innings.

By salvaging the finale of the three-game series, Anaheim stayed within three games of the first-place Texas Rangers in the American League West.

The AL Central-leading Twins had their four-game winning streak snapped. Torii Hunter had two hits, including a solo home run, for Minnesota.
