Donald wins by five shots in Sweden

MALMO, Sweden, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Luke Donald had his second straight three-under 69 Sunday to post a five-stroke victory at the Scandinavian Masters with a total of 16-under-par 272.

Henrik Stenson birdied the 72nd hole to shoot a 69. He shared second place at 11-under 277 with Peter Hanson, who finished with a 71. Ian Poulter and Colin Montgomerie tied for fifth at minus-nine.

David Lynn shot a one-under 71 to end at eight-under-par 280, while Simon Khan closed with a 70 to end one stroke further back at minus-seven.

Peter Lawrie set a new course record of eight-under 64 on Sunday. With that, he moved into a tie for eighth place at six-under-par 282. He was joined there by 2003 champion Adam Scott, two-time winner here Jesper Parnevik, David Howell, Niclas Fasth, Marcel Siem and Steve Webster.
