Blues sign Pronger for one year

ST. LOUIS, July 30 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Blues announced Friday they had signed Norris Trophy finalist Chris Pronger to a one-year deal.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Pronger will receive $9.5 million plus a $500,000 signing bonus.

He was a restricted free agent.

Pronger had 14 goals and 40 assists in 80 games last year with the Blues. St. Louis made Pronger a qualifying offer on June 30, meaning the team could keep him by matching any other team's offer.
