MLB: Montreal 4, N.Y. Mets 1

NEW YORK, July 22 (UPI) -- Tony Bautista slammed a two-run homer in the eighth inning Thursday to help the Montreal Expos beat the New York Mets 4-1.

It was his 13th of the season and came off reliever John Franco, who fell to 2-7.

The struggling Expos, who won for just the second time in their last six games, also got a home run from Brad Wilkerson.

Despite giving up just one run, five hits and one walk in seven innings, Mets starter Tom Glavine failed for the fifth straight time to get a victory. He last won June 13 at Kansas City.
